Dennis A. Blum passed away peacefully on April 5, 2026, at the age of 79. Born in California on February 6, 1947, Dennis lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, humor, and deep devotion to those he loved. He eventually made Chicago his home, where he spent much of his career working in the meat industry. He took great pride in his work and earned the respect of colleagues and friends through his dedication and straightforward approach to life. Dennis loved his family, especially his mother, Anne. Her influence, guidance, and unconditional love remained with him and he always spoke of her with admiration and affection. Dennis loved a good meal and was happiest when hosting a gathering of friends for food and conversation. He was a man who valued relationships, worked hard, and cared deeply. His legacy lives on in the lifelong friendships he formed and in the love he shared with his family. Though he will be greatly missed, Dennis will be remembered with gratitude, affection, and countless stories which will continue to bring smiles for many years.
