Cherished grandmother of Zach, Ari, Elaine, and Avery. She will be deeply missed by her devoted canine companion Calvin, as well as by her extended family of great-nieces and nephews, cousins, and the many friends who loved her dearly. Orah was known for her boundless kindness, warmth, and generosity. She touched the lives of everyone she met with her compassion and her unforgettable laugh. A lifelong learner and dedicated educator, Orah earned multiple advanced degrees over the course of her career. She received her Bachelor of Arts in Special Education in 1983, her Master’s in Counseling in 1990, a Certificate of Advanced Studies in Administration in 1994, and ultimately achieved her Doctorate in Education in 2002. Throughout her years as a teacher and counselor, she inspired countless students and colleagues with her wisdom, patience, and love for education. While her professional accomplishments were remarkable, it was her generous spirit, unwavering devotion to family, and joy for life that defined her. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, cousin, friend, and neighbor whose memory will be a blessing to all who knew her.
